Improving access to essential health and nutrition services to reduce vulnerability, prevent malnutrition, and strengthen community well-being in fragile and crisis-affected contexts.
Across Somalia and other fragile contexts where PHASE operates, limited access to healthcare and inadequate nutrition remain critical challenges. High rates of malnutrition, particularly among children and pregnant and lactating women, are driven by food insecurity, poor access to health services, and recurrent climate shocks. Weak health systems further limit the availability of essential services in underserved communities.
PHASE delivers integrated health and nutrition interventions that address both immediate needs and underlying vulnerabilities. Our programmes focus on preventing and treating malnutrition, improving access to primary healthcare services, and strengthening community-based health systems to ensure sustainable impact.
PHASE adopts an integrated, community-based approach to health and nutrition programming, combining service delivery with awareness, prevention, and system strengthening. Our interventions are guided by data, aligned with national health strategies, and implemented in coordination with local health structures to ensure accessibility, quality, and sustainability.
